Turn your best content into a lead magnet
The problem with most lead magnets
You spend a week writing something genuinely useful, then hide the whole thing behind a form. Visitors have no reason to trust that what is on the other side is worth their email address, so most of them leave.
Give value first, then ask
The pages that convert well do the opposite. They show enough of the content to prove it is good, then ask for an email to unlock the rest. GatedLeads calls this inline gating: pick how many sections a visitor reads for free, and the gate appears right after.
For a short, high-intent resource, a squeeze page still works: a strong headline, one clear promise, and the form. Both styles are one toggle apart in the editor.
What to measure
- Views to leads. If it is under one percent, your preview is not selling the rest of the content.
- Traffic source. Leads from a newsletter behave very differently from leads from cold search.
Start with one page, share it everywhere you already have an audience, and let the numbers tell you what to write next.
